Abstract:
    Development and integration of cobalt oxide and cerium oxide-based heterojunctions in tandem device for overall water splitting.
What is the unmet need in society that your idea will fulfill ?
    1. To stop the CO2 emission 2. To strengthen economic growth
Who needs it ? How many would benefit ?
   Stoppage of CO2 emission will benefit all living organisms. People will enjoy clean and renewable energy. Inputs (sunlight and water) are free, and output (hydrogen) will serve in hydrogen technology.
How will the solution works
    We will form Tandem cell. Electrolytic cell is made of steel anode coated with cerium oxide and cobalt oxide ,and cathode made of graphite. Solar panel on absorbing solar energy splits water.The polymer electrolyser membrane (Permeable to hydrogen)between anode and cathode transfers ions to cathode. Reduction of positive hydrogen ions at cathode will give hydrogen gas that can to be used as fuel.
Who are your competitors ? How is your solution different
    Our competitors are carbon fuels. Our solution is not only different but also economical and environment friendly as there would be no CO2 production. And sources used by tandem cell to produce hydrogen are renewable and present in abundance in nature.
