| We aim to synthesise petrichor in laboratory using chemical means. This would help to create bacteria free pleasant odour that arises after rainfall. |
| What is the unmet need in society that your idea will fulfill ? |
| Firstly petrichor is not available in excess, so we will produce it in bulk. Secondly, its Chemical synthesis will be environment friendly due to absence of bacteria that are present in bio synthesised petrichor. |

| Petrichor is used in perfume industries, so it would be benefited for humankind. |
| How will the solution works |
| At first, we will study its structure using NMR(Nuclear Magnetic Resonance) Spectroscopy. Then we will choose respevtive reactants for its synthesis. By using different chemical methods, we will firstly prepare it in laboratory then extend it to industrial level. |

| As chemical synthesis of petrichor hasn't been done yet, so our only competitors are those who synthesise it biotically. |
