| My fyp revolves around individuals with ASD. The interactive smart plant pot helps improve the decision making aspect of adolescents who have autism by taking care of a living vine. |
| What is the unmet need in society that your idea will fulfill ? |
| Currently there are not a lot of products in the market which cater to autistic adults and helps them improve their skill set which can enable them to live independently. Thus that is the unmet goal my idea aims to fullfill. |
| Who needs it ? How many would benefit ? |
| Austic adults are my target audience from the age group of 10-19 years of age. They will be the primary beneficiaries. Secondary beneficiaries will be caretakers and basically any other individual who is interested in plants and smart pots. |
| How will the solution works |
| The interactive smart plant pot has a system of modular pipes which have to be joined as the vine grows to allow for support. The joinery is simple yet interactive and triggers the decision making in the user. |
| Who are your competitors ? How is your solution different |
| There are not many existing products in this domain. But one product for the similar target audience is matching cooking prep system designed by Amanda Saviksky. |
