Pakistan has always struggled with power shortages resulting in a loss of PKR 210 Billion in GDP in 2013 alone. These are a result of obsolete grid systems lacking far behind international standards. |
What is the unmet need in society that your idea will fulfill ? |
As power generation systems incorporating renewable energy sources are being implemented, there is a prominent absence of realistic models compared to those for conventional energy sources. These realistic models are necessary to ensure the safety of industrial assets and certainty of operation. |
Who needs it ? How many would benefit ? |
We are providing a solution to electricity producing and prosumer industries. We aim to solve the issue of power generation, so that industries function efficiently and remain active around the clock, resulting in
a rise in GDP and thus alleviating the economic status of each Pakistani citizen. |
How will the solution works |
The proposed solution is to successfully design, simulate and validate an industrial microgrid's digital twin. Power system studies will be conducted on ETAP by simulating multiple operational scenarios and determining systems transient stability. The results will be compared with field measurements and parameters of the existing microgrid. The validated system will then be used by the company to prevent system failures, perform predictive maintenance and expand their powerhouses in the future.

Who are your competitors ? How is your solution different |
Our solution is futuristic in the sense that it is a recently developed idea not only in Pakistan but around the globe. Companies have started introducing microgrid systems but work on their operational analysis is negligible. Therefore, we do not have any competitors. |
