Abstract: |
To develop an application that shows finishing stage fittings of a house on 3D model to customer for making realistic choices and determine precise cost estimates at the planning stage of the project |
What is the unmet need in society that your idea will fulfill ? |
Presently, customer cannot visualize the overall cost and finished look of the project at the planning stage. Moreover, the construction industry vendors / suppliers are not united on a single software platform hence, the costings are not regularized, and customer can be a victim of over pricing. |
Who needs it ? How many would benefit ? |
Target audience would be the common construction customer and professionals including suppliers etc. The customer will be able to benefit by visualizing accurate project costings and finished look whereas, the vendors will benefit by getting a software to market themselves to a larger audience. |
How will the solution works |
A software to be developed, comprising of a database of construction industry vendors, their products, prices, and 3D models of products. The user will be able to load the 3D model of their house on our software and after selection from the fittings catalogue, the software will display them on the house model as they would appear in real life. After all the selections, upon one click, the cost will be shown. After finalising, the user will also be able to place order to the respective vendor |
Who are your competitors ? How is your solution different |
At present, either only 3D modelling software or only cost estimators are available with no inter-linkage. The idea is not likely to receive much competition, if correctly designed and implemented. Our idea is unique and novel as it addresses the prevailing gap in the construction industry market |
