Abstract:
Cloud Based Medical Report Generation Of Thoracic Diseases From Chest X-ray Images
What is the unmet need in society that your idea will fulfill ?
XAR will not only reduce the chances of misdiagnosis, save the time and hassle of carrying and presenting your medical history and save money wasted on consultation of a normal x-ray but also modernise our hospitals to suit the era of technology.
Who needs it ? How many would benefit ?
With thousands of medical facilities in Pakistan we are looking at tens of millions of patients every year traveling multiple miles with their big medical history binders to collect x-ray reports and consult doctors in regards to them. These are the people that need XAR.
How will the solution works
XAR is a cloud based application that would be accessible by three parties: patient, doctors and medical facility. After chest x-ray is taken, the medical facility adds the x-ray image to patient database. The patient can access all their x-ray images from their account and can generate an analysis report on said images via the app. Doctors can access patient’s x-ray images and generate segmentations of bone, muscles, lungs and fat via app.
Who are your competitors ? How is your solution different
Pakistan has no current cloud based x-ray report generation app used by basic entities of a medical facility. Our project will also use a large local dataset ensuring accuracy to be best suited to Pakistan.
