| What is the unmet need in society that your idea will fulfill ? |
| Our country faces a lot of energy issues. We are unable to produce energy sufficient for our community. In such a situation, our piezoelectric powered tiles provide a solution to harnessing electrical energy just from a mere walk of the public. |
| Who needs it ? How many would benefit ? |
| The project can help reduce the energy load of street lights and billboards to great extent; if installed properly at the right place. This would benefit the general public by reducing energy costs when considered in a long-term scenario. |
| How will the solution works |
| Our whole concept is based on tiles. Tiles will have rows of piezoelectric sensors on them. When a person steps on the tile, the piezoelectric transducers will sense a pressure difference which will be converted into ac voltage. A rectifier and a capacitor is placed to convert the incoming ac voltage into dc voltage and is stored in a battery. This harnessed dc voltage can be used in different electrical applications. |

| The startups based on sustainable and clean energy production in the country will be our competitors. This mainly includes Solar energy based startups as our Piezo idea has never been introduced in Pakistan. |
