Abstract:
    The 3-axis modular CNC machine for PCB fabrication and milling of soft metals is targeted to improve the electronics manufacturing industry of Pakistan by enhancing local production of PCBs.
What is the unmet need in society that your idea will fulfill ?
    Pakistan lacks quality PCB and small parts manufacturing outlets to cope with the national demand. Outsourcing is comparatively non-profitable due to the involvement of tariffs, increased time and logistical costs. Manual fabrication is a multi-stage resource-consuming process and is prone to errors
Who needs it ? How many would benefit ?
   Students, university labs, and small-scale and medium-scale industries would benefit from it. The product would compete in both the national and international markets. Currently, no product in the market provides the features that we would at the cost we have projected.
How will the solution works
    3 NEMA stepper motors would operate on 3 axes and ESP-32 would be used for wireless control. Open-source softwares would be used. CAD model of the circuit or mechanical part would be uploaded into the machine in GCODE. It would either remove copper from the copper board and drill holes for circuit fabrication or machine the workpiece to the part. It would have workarea of 200 x 200 x 100 mm3, an accuracy of 1 µm, and would include a headless operation SD card, auto-probing, and limit switches.
Who are your competitors ? How is your solution different
    We have no national competitor. International competitors include Wegstr, Genmitsu, and Rattmmotor. The product isrich in features, comparatively inexpensive, lightweight, and designed on a modular approach, which makes it easy-to assemble.
