Abstract: |
The user friendly interface of "MicroSnap" will enable the users to capture food for microbial profiling of various food products considering the aspect of risk/quality control and food safety. |
What is the unmet need in society that your idea will fulfill ? |
Food quality has always been a significant challenge in Pakistan, where public behavior is majorly dependent on food consumption rather than considering the standard of food defining health and food safety. MicroSnap will help to fluctuate this behavior by improving the quality management systems. |
Who needs it ? How many would benefit ? |
People of all age groups having access to food and technology will benefit from "MicroSnap." It will develop sense of food safety on industrial scale making it secure from fark to fork. |
How will the solution works |
The validated results from an online predictive microbiology tool will set a standard to study microbial behavior in various food products and generate a database for the mobile application system. This database will then help the users to generate verified details of a particular food commodity in comparison with the results obtained from "MicroSnap." The tested food products will then be classified as safe, moderately safe and unsafe for consumption according to the estimated microbial levels. |
Who are your competitors ? How is your solution different |
All the food production units with low food safety profiles to inspect risks associated with microbial contaminants in food products. MicroSnap as an integrated feature of food applications (e.g. food panda, cheetay, food genie etc.), will help to deliver quality food to the consumers. |
