| We will provide renewable energy with small scale Vertical Axis Wind Turbine (VAWT). It is implementable on highways. This traffic can be harnessed to generate electricity to power streetlights. The project is specific to energy production, measurable by electricity production, and achievable with local manufacturing capabilities. VAWT is being implemented internationally, hence it is realistic. |
| What is the unmet need in society that your idea will fulfill ? |
| Our country has been suffering from inadequate electricity generation in recent years. Power outages still occur. Moreover, the existing methods of energy generation are expensive and inefficient as they are based on the practices and technology employed in the mid and late 20th century. |
| Who needs it ? How many would benefit ? |
| This Project will significantly reduce the annual spending of the government on electricity bills. This would be a one-time investment, and after recovery of the investment amount, the bills would not need to be paid. |
| How will the solution works |
| We will attach wind turbine units to all the streetlights. The units will generate electricity by utilizing the air movement caused by moving vehicles or by natural wind. This generated electricity will be stored in batteries. At night, this stored electricity will be used to power the streetlights. |

| Companies like Arborwind produce VAWTs on a large scale while Alpha 311 is working on the same idea. However, no one is working on an idea like this in Pakistan now. We are developing a low-cost product and have plans for indigenous production and providing reliable service. slot pulsa |
