| PriceGram is a platform where users can view products belonging to various e-commerce stores and find the best one for themselves. It is convenient to view a specific product from a single website containing data from various stores instead of viewing websites of multiple ecommerce stores separately to find the desired product and with the best price tag. |
| What is the unmet need in society that your idea will fulfill ? |
| With all the different E-commerce websites, it becomes difficult to find the most relevant product with the best deal and discount in their budget. Pricegram brings all these products on one page, so users may not have to scroll from different websites and may not miss any discount or deal. |
| Who needs it ? How many would benefit ? |
| With the advent of E-commerce, so many users are shifting to online buying. According to stats there are 2.14 billion global users and around 100 million Internet subscribers in Pakistan, making Pakistan a 46th largest market for E-Commerce. Pricegram will also be targeted by the same domain users. |
| How will the solution works |
| Pricegram is a web based application. It can be divided in three parts; front-end, back-end, database and bots. Front-end uses basic web technologies like HTML, CSS, Javascript, Bootstrap. Node Js (A Javascript utility) is used on the back-end. On the database front, pricegram uses MySQL for data storage and MongoDB for user authentication. Meanwhile, we are hosting bots that are fetching data from different websites at regular intervals and filling the database, coded in Python. |
| Who are your competitors ? How is your solution different |
| Pricegram is working as a middle man between different E-commerce websites and the buyers, so it is not in competition with them. Although, there are some websites, like Pricegram, working on a smaller scale and not compatible for featuring multiple products and platforms that Pricegram will do. RTP Live |
