Our scope deals with various sustainable materials for currently under-construction building and their effects on energy analysis. The project includes modeling of building, study of various orientations and effect of various architectural features on energy analysis. It will also suggest the discrepancies in current design of the building and suitable solutions to make it more energy efficient. | |
What is the unmet need in society that your idea will fulfill ? | |
Nowadays, building designs and materials used are not often supporting building's sustainability. Also, high carbon emission from buildings has an adverse effect on the environment often not considered in their construction. We will work on Achieving Sustainability and Energy Efficiency via BIM. | |
Who needs it ? How many would benefit ? | |
Energy-efficient buildings are an environmental need. They reduce air pollution by reducing the emission of greenhouse gases. These buildings have economic and climatic benefits. They provide a return on investment in the form of energy cost savings. | |
How will the solution works | |
The solutions will work in the following way: Long-term power & value savings: A strength-green building can have gain of strength, decreased water consumption and maintenance fees. Lower emission & universal environmental impact: Energy green buildings have decreased greenhouse gas emission due to decreased reliance on fossil fuels. Better thermal comfort: Properly designed mechanical structures and components work together to manipulate comfy indoor temperatures. | |
Who are your competitors ? How is your solution different | |
Green-efficient buildings concept in Pakistan is being offered but limited to residential buildings as their commercial application is costly and less effective. We will use orientation techniques and different sustainable materials to get a sustainable and energy-efficient building. | |
