Abstract:
    An agricultural rover for seed sowing. It will move continuously to create a furrow, dispense seeds, and cover the seeds with soil. The mechanism will automatically drop seeds to achieve preset inter-seed spacing. Moreover, the rover can work for multiple seed types, sizes, and furrow depths. This will improve accuracy, increase germination rates, and make land coverage faster.
What is the unmet need in society that your idea will fulfill ?
    Seed sowing in agriculture is currently a manual process where lack of accuracy affects germination rates. By automating the process, our rover can speed up land coverage and ensure accurate parameters such as sowing depth, which in turn improves germination rates and increases productivity.
Who needs it ? How many would benefit ?
   This will primarily benefit farmers and agricultural workers, who make up nearly 40% of the labor force in Pakistan. Seed sowing will take less time and effort and also reduce wastage. As a result, crop yields will increase and farmers will be able to prosper.
How will the solution works
    It is a six-wheeled rover making it suitable for rough terrain. The seed sowing module will consist of (i) the furrowing wheel, (ii) the seed dispenser, and (iii) the levelling plate. The furrowing wheel will be placed in front to create a continuous furrow. The seed dispenser will have a storage tank, a funnel and a motorized dispensing wheel to control seed dropping. The levelling plate will have suspension for uneven terrain. The system will be controlled by an Arduino micro-controller.
Who are your competitors ? How is your solution different
    There are currently no agricultural rovers for seed sowing in Pakistan. The closest existing product in local use is a hand-drawn sowing wheel with spokes. Our rover is an all-in-one solution that automates the entire process while having the benefits of faster coverage and greater yield.
