| Upmeal is a platform where you can reserve seats at your favorite restaurants and avail discounts on every item on the menu. Upmeal will connect hungry tummies to empty tables. The business problem we noticed was that the customers were coming to the restaurants at specific hours for example lunchtime and dinner time and there would be empty tables otherwise. |
| What is the unmet need in society that your idea will fulfill ? |
| In Pakistan, there is no proper platform where you can reserve your seats in a restaurant. Moreover, there are no platform that promotes dining culture by providing discounts. It will also fill the empty tables of the restaurants at non-peak hours. |
| Who needs it ? How many would benefit ? |
| The target audience of Upmeal would be restaurants, who want their sales to increase and to manage their yield by the flow of customers during non-peak hours and the general people who like to dine in and avail discounts. |
| How will the solution works |
| The issue of the restaurant will be solved by providing time-based discounts that is by giving more discounts at non-peak hours and giving fewer discounts at peak hours. This will attract the public to come and eat in the non-peak hours, filling empty tables, providing balanced utilization of resources, and increasing sales. The dedicated marketing of the restaurants through the app using machine learning algorithms would also increase sales while users can reserve seats and avail discounts. |

| The main competitors include Food-panda and golootlo but they provide fixed deals and the same discounts at all times. Upmeal has a different model of providing time-based discounts on custom orders and reservation system that would be more beneficial for the restaurants and users . |
