Abstract:
    The emerging type of pavement Semi-flexible is a hybrid mixture of both flexible and rigid pavement encompassing the best of both i.e. strength of rigid pavements, ride quality of flexible pavement, quick in construction and much more. This research aims to find a new sustainable material which lowers cost, enhances strength and lowers environmental pollution. The optimum grout is selected.
What is the unmet need in society that your idea will fulfill ?
    Modern time and age demands quick construction and maintenance of transit facilitates. With the enhancement of work in field Semi-Flexible pavements we would build new roads and repair old ones at a much faster pace providing strength and ride comfort while lowering the overall carbon foot print.
Who needs it ? How many would benefit ?
   The mass transit and economic system hindered by low quality roads. Replacement or repair of such facilities improved done at a faster pace would allow economic conditions in Pakistan to flourish, general comfort of masses improved with good ride quality alongside traffic conditions.
How will the solution works
    Technical working involves obtaining cementious grouts preparing a flow able grout using various combination and preparing a control sample. Afterwards using the replacement/sustainable material to prepare the grout and check flowability, compressive strength, flexural strength, rutting, fatigue etc. Samples prepared variying multiple parameters and finding out the best grout suitable for the job. Developing the Semi-Flexible pavement and record the results.
Who are your competitors ? How is your solution different
    There is currently no research done on modifiying the cementious grouts. The solution provided by our research (Nano-silica) hold good for our country Pakistan as we would be using a waste product of our own industry and reusing it lowering the overall carbon foot- print by a large extent
