| “SPEAK” is a mobile application for real time interpretation of sign language actions and gestures into text and speech. This application will work in the domain of Artificial Intelligence (AI). It will capture the actions performed using a mobile camera in the form of pictures or videos real time and will predict the action. The predicted output would be converted into text and speech. |
| What is the unmet need in society that your idea will fulfill ? |
| There are more than 10 million hearing impaired citizens in Pakistan. With such a huge number, we still fail in providing accessibility to these citizens. The lack of familiarity with sign language creates an undeniable communication gap between the deaf community and hearing majority. |

| How will the solution works |
| The project is divided into two modules. First module deals with backend working of the application; Artificial Intelligence (AI). Creation of datasets, selection or creating of our own models, training and testing of models, all lies in this module. The second module consist of app development and updates. For this module, we'll require expertise who will help us in creating an application that will record and predict actions. More languages and features would be added with time. |

| We do not have any competitors in the market. This would be the first application that would be providing such service which will be free of cost and accessible to all. |
