| Abstract: |
| Artists using paints to color their artifacts have to go through a struggle of rigorous paint mixing that takes a lot of effort hindering their performance of treating a surface with paint. My product is a designing tool for artists in which they can pick colors from their surrounding and tweak them to achieve accurate desired color shades to paint surfaces. |
| What is the unmet need in society that your idea will fulfill ? |
| Artists using paint face difficulty in replicating colors and usually find themselves making excessive paint that goes to waste. My product with it's amount control feature eliminates excessive waste and allows creative individuals to create accurate colors they require for their creative process. |
| Who needs it ? How many would benefit ? |
| Color selection is a key operation in most design processes such as print, product design, interior design and painting. Therefore Painters, Designers (Product/interior/textile designers) and other creative fields can use the product for quick color sampling and testing for better visualization. |
| How will the solution works |
| The product works in 2 parts; a software part, and a hardware part. To begin, the user selects a color
shade in RGB mode, the machine then converts it into a CMYK model. The hardware will then dispense accurate of amount of color needed by using valves to drop paint from 5
different containers that contain the 5 basic colors (cyan, magenta, yellow, black and white). |
| Who are your competitors ? How is your solution different |
| My competitors are other color scanning devices and interfaces that tell color codes and formulas but non of these are designed specifically for the painting purpose, and do not assist the users by making the required shades in reality. |
