| This thesis aims to enhance the experience of table top role playing games (TTRPG). By creating a hybrid gaming experience through the use of digital augmentation the product aims to make the experience of a pen & paper TTRPG more interactive & immersive. |
| What is the unmet need in society that your idea will fulfill ? |
| It is a major update to the genre of TTRPG board games that have largely remained unchanged since their invention around 50 years ago. |
| Who needs it ? How many would benefit ? |
| TTRPG players off all ages & can benefit from this to make their gaming experience heightened. The global TTRPG player market is in the millions & has seen a large recent boost in player base due to the new found popularity of the game Dungeons & Dragons thanks to Netflix & TV shows. |
| How will the solution works |
| The product is an interactive game board. The game board is touch based & displays the map in the real time along side game mechanics like fog of war. The product also features a variety of audiovisual feedback to enhance the gameplay via sound effects, soundtracks & lighting response. |
