Abstract:
    Thermoacoustic involves conversion of waste and low grade thermal energy to acoustic energy (i.e., sound waves) and then into electrical energy . It is non-toxic, easy to design and affordable process.
What is the unmet need in society that your idea will fulfill ?
    For a developing country like Pakistan, we are in energy crisis so we should utilize every opportunity on hand to generate more power for ourselves. Thermoacoustics is a way to achieve clean and cheap energy.
Who needs it ? How many would benefit ?
   A fully functional thermoacoustic engine can be installed and used anywhere whether on industrial scale or domestic uses.
How will the solution works
    Our primary focus would be on the conversion of thermal energy into acoustic energy using a specially designed stack and resonator, later on we have multiple option to use acoustic waves and their mechanical energy in a bidirectional turbine to generate electricity.
Who are your competitors ? How is your solution different
    In Pakistan, thermoacoustics is an un-explored and un-developed field as compared to other energy sectors. Solar panels can be compared with thermoacoustic engine in terms of efficiency but TAE uses waste and low grade heat too. Also we can use high frequency sound waves (e.g Fighter Jet noise) too.
