Abstract:
    Oxygen concentrators are widely used in medical field to assist the patients' breathing in the cases where the vitals of the patient are not functioning normally due to severity of the disease. It helps to keep the pulse oxygen up to the mark (between 92 percent to 96 percent) by providing oxygen artificially to the patient.
What is the unmet need in society that your idea will fulfill ?
    An oxygen concentrator is required in cases where clinical oxygen is needed. Pakistan has no local production of oxygen concentrators. Thus, this simple, vital and widely needed device is not as accessible and as cost effective as it should be.
Who needs it ? How many would benefit ?
   An oxygen concentrator can be used as an alternative for ‘oxygen cylinders and delivery kit’ with the benefit that it does not needs refilling. It can also be used as an alternative to ventilator in some cases and thus has wide ranging benefits in health sector e.g. in situations such as COVID.
How will the solution works
    In Oxygen Concentrator, Pressure Swing Adsorption technique is used to separate Oxygen from air and attain 92 to 96 percent purity. Air is sucked from environment through a compressor and passed through zeolite bed into a storage tank. A pressure and flow rate regulator is thereon used to deliver oxygen at desired parameters.

    Our major competitors are Phillips and Chinese manufacturers. Our solution will be more accessible and cost effective then theirs'.
