| Pakistani fire and rescue persons are often underfunded and little innovation has happened in addressing their perticular needs. Jugnu is a human centered design based flashlight which attempts to ratify this disparity. | |
| What is the unmet need in society that your idea will fulfill ? | |
| Fire and rescue teams face technical and structural challenges and no amount technical innovation alone can solve them. Jugnu is not only more technically advanced than it:s but also addresses the several societial issue that Pakistani firemen face. | |

| Fire and rescue professionals, and people who are in need of rescue. There are 43 fire incidents daily in Punjab alone, most affecting more than one person. | |
| How will the solution works | |
| Jugnu has numerous innovations each addressing a problem that had been identified in our ethnographic research. Altough It is fundamentally just a flashlight, it also addresses issues in communication, safety, reliablity, comfort and is much more effective than any of it's competition. At it's core it is a design based on confedence of the user and thus all of its components are rugged and are redundant. | |

| Jugnu has a fresnel lens for compactness, made of polycarbonate for strenghth, LifePO cells for reliablity, LEDs far more efficient with light exceeding the competition, wistles to warn its user, com lights to communicate with other firemen and every component is designed to rugged and redundant. | |
