Biochar has been proven as a promising adsorbent for pollutant removal as it is porous and can easily be fabricated. For our project, biochar will be magnetized to enhance its adsorption capabilities and easy removal from water. To further add up to the research and to link it to industries and waste minimization, Tobacco waste is obtained from the vendors of a famous international company to produce biochar and to study the cycle stability of a different type of magnetic adsorbent against different size ranges of micro plastics. Micro plastics are a severe menace to both humans and marine life. Micro plastics are found in rivers, drinking water, and everyday objects. In order to achieve SDG 12(Responsible consumption and Production) and 6 (Clean water and sanitation), a low-cost, sustainable approach for removing micro plastics as well as the preparation of an ecologically friendly adsorbent from industrial waste will be developed | |
