Abstract:
Subgrade reinforcement is a wide topic that’s not necessarily confined to a certain type of soil. Various experimental and numerical data has been computed to gauge the effect of geotextiles on the subgrade (SW Soil, well graded sand with gravels). Those tests will be performed after the addition of the geo-grids again. As all type of stresses or loads subjected to surface are ultimately transferred to subgrade layer, to avoid this, the subgrade layer is mostly reinforced using different techniques like geo-grids. Soils pull apart under tension, compared to soil, Geo-grids are strong in tension. Geo-grids are commonly made of polymer materials, such as polyester, polyvinyl alcohol, polyethylene, or polypropylene. May be woven or knitted from yarns or heat-welded from strips of material. The data obtained will be grouped and sorted, further actions include calculating the variation and enhancement the modification brought forth. A research strategy will be developed, and results will be analyzed during the course of this study. The limitations are restricted to seepage. We won’t be focusing on the seepage aspect of the study.
