Abstract: |
Unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), which have undergone a great technological advancement recently, may offer innovative ways to put out industrial or wild forest fires. We suggest a cutting-edge drone swarm-based firefighting strategy. The way firemen react to and put out fires in refineries and forests could be completely changed by drone swarms. |
What is the unmet need in society that your idea will fulfill ? |
Due to the rise in industrial fires around the world, new firefighting techniques should be utilized alongside traditional ones. These fires spread rapidly, release poisonous fumes, and radiate extreme heat. Firefighting is challenging due to the thick smoke &dangerous because explosions can occur. |
Who needs it ? How many would benefit ? |
We offer our solution for huge industrial buildings that house combustible gases and liquids and have a number of other possible fire threats. Therefore, having a fleet of autonomous firefighting drones would be quite helpful in any event of fire. |
How will the solution works |
When there is a fire in a refinery or other industrial setting, a surveillance drone with a thermal imaging camera is launched. Despite the smoke, we can precisely obtain the fire's coordinates using that camera. Now, 10 to 15 drones are launched to drop firefighting balls at one or more locations depending on the situation. To prevent collisions, our ground computer station will assign each drone a different course. To avoid the heat of fire, the drones will fly high above the ground. |
