Abstract:
During past 10 years or so due to the progress in automation industry most of the big companies have moved towards autonomous robots in order to improve accuracy and precision in the warehouses . It also focuses on reducing human error as-well as latency. Our product targets the warehouse and tries to implement the technologies of autonomous robotics in warehouses. It also focuses on wide use case
What is the unmet need in society that your idea will fulfill ?
Our robot focuses on the autonomous and fully functional robot system which is capable of working on its own without any human interference or input needed. If we are able to make good on our deliverables, we believe we have a product that can help improve efficiency of warehouses drastically.
Who needs it ? How many would benefit ?
Our product is focused to target the warehouses . At the present almost all of the warehouses relay on the human employees for the transfer of good from one place to another. The problem with this system is latency, human error, redundant work and most of all less accuracy and precision.
How will the solution works
The racks in the warehouse would have special rails attached to them. The robot would align itself to the rail and slide into it. The robot would apply pressure and create grip on the rails much like how rollers, in a printer, produce grip on the paper. The motors would then move the robot in accordance to the rails, vertically upwards, by help of the achieved grip on rail. When moved in front of the required box, the manipulator will grab the box and bring it on the robot.
Who are your competitors ? How is your solution different
The bionic hive company has created a robot, SquidBot. However, their design do not allow multiple robots ro be deployed on same rack. The tehnical difference occurs in design of rails and the method used for climbing it. This allows for deployment of multiple robots on same rack.
