Abstract:
    In the Hospital Medical Information System (HMIS), the verification, preservation, and synchronization of electronic medical records (EMRs) has always been a difficult task, and the random dissemination of patient records will bring various risks to patient privacy. To overcome these problems, a consortium blockchain based electronic medical records system is the primary solution.
What is the unmet need in society that your idea will fulfill ?
    Storing and sharing the patient health record digitally while ensuring resistance to tampering and privacy of the data is the core need of all healthcare departments. An EMR using blockchain will provide a suitable and effective solution to these problems.
Who needs it ? How many would benefit ?
   Beneficial for patients, physicians and hospital management. An EMR system using blockchain provides patient information along with the tracking of patient health risks, and ability to receive lab test results which can be shared digitally while ensuring data integrity, availability and privacy.
How will the solution works
    Three roles: Patients, Doctors and Health Administration. The Health Administration will be responsible for the registration of patients and doctors. The application framework includes UI to interact with the application, nodes for consensus mechanism, Chain and World-State database. Patient is issued with a symmetric key which is used for encryption/decryption of medical records. Doctors can also request access to a patient's medical record from the patient and can add new records.
Who are your competitors ? How is your solution different
    Our solution is based on blockchain technology which is different and better than other traditional solutions. Individuals and organizations can decide what pieces of their digital data they want to share and with whom and for how long, with limits enforced by blockchain-enabled smart contracts.
