Abstract: |
This project involves monitoring of industrial motors effectively and using various
sensors, with the resulting data saved in a cloud platform and accessed from many
locations via a web application. |
What is the unmet need in society that your idea will fulfill ? |
In case of any dysfunction found in the parameters, a notification is sent through an IoT platform which saves time and money by eliminating unnecessary downtime. This will help in continuous monitoring of equipment and predictive maintenance. |
Who needs it ? How many would benefit ? |
It will be beneficial to every industry where motor is used and help owners save money and time because of unnecessary delays and interruptions for the maintenance. |
How will the solution works |
The design of an IoT technology will be used to monitor and diagnose the performance of a three-phase induction motor and record critical operating parameters. The methods offered include an IoT-based platform in order to collect and process induction motor parameters. Parameters are composed of sensors such as voltage, current, temperature, and vibration sensor. This information can be stored in a cloud platform, accessed via web pages, and displayed on a smartphone device using a mobile app. |
Who are your competitors ? How is your solution different |
Our main competitor is a Swedish Company 'SKF' that has designed a Electric Motor Condition Monitoring. Our device has many difference from that of them, major ones including that our device would be able to measure temperature inside the device as well as the integrity of Bearing and Rotor bar. |
