Abstract:
    Solar PCM air conditioner is used to achieve comfortable room temperature during day and night in winter using solar thermal energy by involving solar thermal battery.
What is the unmet need in society that your idea will fulfill ?
    Firstly, there is no future of non- renewable energy source based products. Secondly, worldwide specifically in Pakistan, electricity prices are very high and very difficult for people to meet the sky-high prices. Our solution is addressing all these challenges.
Who needs it ? How many would benefit ?
   Global market for Room Air Conditioners segment is projected to reach 132.4 million Units. The current production capacity of air conditioners in Pakistan is one million units per year. This huge market is waiting for us to adopt our clean and green solution.
How will the solution works
    Solar PCM system involves a solar radiation absorber that absorbs the heat and transfers to water which heat the air via heat exchanger. A part of this heat is stored to a Phase Change Material (PCM) and PCM acts as thermal battery. This thermal energy stored is extracted during night to warm the water. This warm water again passes through the heat exchanger and heats the air.
Who are your competitors ? How is your solution different
    1. Traditional, air condition manufacturers based on non-renewable energy source. 2. Solar photovoltaic based air -conditioners facing its own initial challenges. Our solution is renewable and world needs it and also it is unique and better as it is solar thermal based not solar electric based.
