| In the current scenario, fake news is a glaring issue and is a main instrument of Fifth Generation Warfare. There is no existing mechanism to distinguish between fake and real news and provide an authenticated repository of news with a series of validators and authenticators for the general public.

| Who needs it ? How many would benefit ? |
| Legitify will help the whole Pakistan to differentiate between a fake and an authentic news in a democratic way. The system will ensure circulation of validated news by all the stakeholders using consensus mechanism and incentivize the authenticators providing fair voting. |
| How will the solution works |
| The platform is information saving platform with Blockchain technology using Ethereum/ Hyperledger fabric. Hyperledger Fabric will be the underlying Blockchain technology with a web/mobile application as the UI. All crowd auditors and News Agencies as well as general users will have their verified accounts registered on the platform.
Uploaded news will be voted and smart contracts will be written to tag the news as fake or real depending on the votes of validators using consensus mechanism.

| Who are your competitors ? How is your solution different |
| There are no competitors working in Pakistan actively on fake news detection and Its ramification. And whoever tries doing it would have biases and hence will not be acceptable across-the-board. Hence the use of blockchain to ensure immutability, non-repuduation and credibility. |
