Abstract: |
ScaNet is an Android Network Scanning app that provides complete network details, enumeration results along with performing vulnerability analysis in order to safeguard the network in the simplest way |
What is the unmet need in society that your idea will fulfill ? |
Network and Vulnerability analysis are important for providing visibility and enhancing network security. Generally, full-fledged systems are used for this purpose which makes the entire process cumbersome. There is a need to simplify network and vulnerability scanning by doing it right on the palm |
Who needs it ? How many would benefit ? |
Everyone wants security and privacy of data, bet it organizations or individuals. ScaNet would basically target network administrators, security analysts and even home users as they can simply use their Android app to see what all is going on in their network and act accordingly. |
How will the solution works |
ScaNet will be a simple, user friendly and efficient Android application that will perform enumeration, network scanning and vulnerability analysis. Developed in Android studio (Java) it will have features like checking live hosts, finding open ports, router vulnerability check, network bandwidth details, Wake on LAN and vulnerability analysis etc. All this happens just on the phone without any security for privacy infringement. |
Who are your competitors ? How is your solution different |
Fing, Network Analyzer, Netscan, ezScan and IP tools are some of the competitors. Almost all these apps are expensive and provide very limited functionality for free. ScaNet will only charge for vulnerability analysis, but the entire network analysis will be available in the free version. |
