| What is the unmet need in society that your idea will fulfill ? |
| The ubiquity of Android phones has resulted in a momentous growth in app development. In many cases the Android app leaks Personally Identifiable information without user’s consent resulting in privacy issues. HuntDroid detects such leaks and apprise the user thereby guaranteeing user’s privacy. |
| Who needs it ? How many would benefit ? |
| Android market share globally is more than 60%. Therefore, every privacy conscious user who does not want his or her personally identifiable information to get leaked, needs HuntDroid. Moreover, with GDPR, even organizations need to analyze their applications using HuntDroid for any privacy leaks. |
| How will the solution works |
| HuntDroid will analyze the network traffic being generated from the Android phone with user’s consent. It would then analyze and inspect the traffic to find out any Personally Identifiable Information using advanced techniques (pattern matching, correlation, machine learning approaches). HuntDroid will then prompt the user about the Android application which is leaking PII out along with the extent of leak. |

| A lot of existing solutions are serving the purpose including Leak dr, Privacy Capsules, and ClueFinder but most of the solutions are commercial in nature.Open-source solutions are also available, but they provide limited functionality. |
