Abstract: |
The project will extend solutions in the health monitoring arena using AI-IoT & trusted platforms. The resulting internet of medical devices (IoMD) will provide healthcare to a large part of society. |
What is the unmet need in society that your idea will fulfill ? |
A large segment of society requires constant, round-the-clock health monitoring in a convenient and privacy-preserving manner. We provide them with access to high quality healthcare in the comfort of their own home with advanced privacy techniques to make sure their data remains theirs. |
Who needs it ? How many would benefit ? |
Elderly people is the largest demographic that requires in-home health monitoring to improve their quality of life. Along with them, individuals who are self-isolating, health-concious athletes and individuals suffering from obesity or some other chronic health disorder would benefit the most. |
How will the solution works |
We have an edge device with attached sensors that is connected to the internet. It runs a Spring framework-based application which stores sensor readings. The device is connected to the user's smartphone app and exchanges data with it. The device also sends data to the server for display, recording and diagnoses purposes. A website is also provided on which doctors may also register and provide their services to patients. Dashboards are provided to all users to facilitate understanding of data. |
Who are your competitors ? How is your solution different |
Among our competitors are companies like CureMD that provide telemedicine services. Our solution is unique in its focus on privacy preservation, being HIPAA+GDPR compliant. Our machine learning techniques also uses selective parameter training and collaborative learning to preserve privacy. |
