Abstract:
In this project, an inexpensive and cost-effective alternative to the costly gun simulators used in military for training marksmanship, is presented.
What is the unmet need in society that your idea will fulfill ?
The shooting range is an important tool for shooting practice in organizations such as police, army and security companies. However, the conventional shooting target system requires high installation cost as well as there is a risk of issues related to safety and the environment.
Who needs it ? How many would benefit ?
Shooting training or firearm training is one of the most important training in public or private organizations such as police, army and security companies etc. There is also a threat of accident or injury caused by the firearm. To overcome this we are developing shooting simulator.
How will the solution works
The proposed system consists of a laser pointer and an array of photodiode sensors arranged in concentric circular loops on a shooting target. A laser pointer is used as a firearm instead of that with bullets. The microcontroller identifies the position of the hit and calculates and displays the score.
Who are your competitors ? How is your solution different
We are working on circuit based which is less costly while other methods are costly.
