| We proposed to develop an autonomous COVID Surveillance Robot with various features such as mask detection, sanitization capability and monitoring social distancing. |
| What is the unmet need in society that your idea will fulfill ? |
| Due to COVID, we need to minimize human contact and the autonomous feature of our robot will fulfill this need. All the COVID SOPS for example social distancing and sanitization will be ensured without any human contact. |
| Who needs it ? How many would benefit ? |
| To begin with, Cov’atch will be placed in hospitals however, places such as schools, offices and airports can also make use of this technology. This project will provide opportunities of employment to young talented engineers. It will create opportunities of self-employment for us aswell. |
| How will the solution works |
| Cov’atch will be patrolling around the hospital ensuring that everyone is wearing a mask and people are maintaining a safe distance. it will help us automate COVID SOPs surveillance tasks that are currently being performed manually. The presence of our robot will ensure compliance of rules better as compared to humans. It's easier for us to refuse a human but, the robot will make sure we follow all the rules and will be able to work more precisely and efficiently relative to a human. |
| Who are your competitors ? How is your solution different |
| A lot of projects have been developed all over the world; some for mask detection, few to ensure compliance of social distancing rules while others provide sanitization and temperature monitoring facilities. So far all these projects have been developed separately. |
