| This project aims to provide a real-time information system called Foundation University Student Information System, that serves as a platform for students, faculty, parents, and alumni. |
| What is the unmet need in society that your idea will fulfill ? |
| The users can get real time information about university and events. Students, alumni and faculty can register accounts, manage notifications, complaints/feedback and handle the creation and deletion of chat groups. |
| Who needs it ? How many would benefit ? |
| The system will be used by university students, alumni, faculty members, parents and guests. With each passing semester, the system will grow as the graduating students will become alumni and their functionalities will be modified accordingly. |
| How will the solution works |
| The system will handle the management of user accounts (Register, login, edit profile, logout), university information (Departments, programs, faculty, fee structure, contact details) and events, chat groups (creation, deletion, sharing data/files) and notifications. Students can view their individual time tables with the option to receive customizable reminders. Students can also lodge complaints which will be forwarded to the relevant authority to be handled accordingly. |
| Who are your competitors ? How is your solution different |
| Our competitors are Moodle, LMS and WhatsApp. Unlike these systems, our project is tailored to fulfill the needs of multiple entities of our university and provide additional functionalities including time table management, feedback and chat group. |
