Abstract:
    This project aims to design a transmitter and receiver which can perform point to point optical communication in visible band with improved alignment and data rate
What is the unmet need in society that your idea will fulfill ?
    The use of RF Band for wireless communication creates limitation in bandwidth, data rate and security. The use of Optical Wireless Communication can overcome these limitations to make wireless communication more convenient.
Who needs it ? How many would benefit ?
   The project aims to facilitate companies using LAN/WLAN systems or small business networks with high speed and secure communication. Furthermore it also serves as a prototype to enhance underwater communications that can be used for military operations.
How will the solution works
    Computer will take any information as input and send the information to the transmitter (Laser Diode). The information received by transmitter is in the form of electrical signals, which are then converted into optical signals by the transmitter. Signals propagate along the transmission medium and then, it enters the receiver on the reception side. The signal is transformed to electrical form with the help of receiver (Photo Diode) and is sent to receiver side Computer.
Who are your competitors ? How is your solution different
    Although extensive research work is being done in this field, currently there is no such commercial product available in the local industry.
