| Starting of Engine using compressed air as an alternate option in some heavy engines. As the system becomes older, parts become unavailable. The project is focused on finding a local solution. |
| What is the unmet need in society that your idea will fulfill ? |
| The starting system over the time has developed problems for which local cost effective solutions are non-existent. In this study, such system will be evaluated and then trouble creating parts or sub-systems will be replaced with an indigenous solutions. |
| Who needs it ? How many would benefit ? |
| The main beneficiary of the product would be public and private organizations having such heavy engines and machinery. The problem is already existing and highlighted at various forums and a lot of precious foreign exchange is being spent to keep these systems functional. |
| How will the solution works |
| The problem is found to be in the piston rings of the compressor and the pressure holding valve of the pressure tanks. The redesigning of the piston rings and the pressure holding valve is under way and the solution will be implemented after subsequent experimental validation. |
| Who are your competitors ? How is your solution different |
| In such redesigning of the system, there are no competitors except the foreign manufactures who developed the original system however, they will not be able to beat our price as our system is locally developed solution. |
