Abstract: |
The project aims to utilize OBD-II as a means of improvement in vehicular safety, security, performance, diagnostics, and analysis. |
What is the unmet need in society that your idea will fulfill ? |
Our idea will target the everyday life of the common man in terms of insight and command/control over their car's performance, ability, and condition. |
Who needs it ? How many would benefit ? |
It will benefit the daily commute while driving. The device will inform the user about the inner conditions helping them in further diagnostics. Anyone who wants to optimize the efficiency of their car will benefit from it. |
How will the solution works |
ELM327 IC/OBD-II is an available Diagnostic Kit with an Indigenous CAN circuitry that gives feedback on
running engine parameters and by reporting Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs) which indicate
errors detected in the Engine Control Module for vehicles operating on CAN. We will utilize the OBD-II device by operating it via Raspberry Pi, the integrated setup will notify the user in case of any warnings. |
Who are your competitors ? How is your solution different |
Our competitors include automobile tuning centers and some applications like Torque, SOMO. These applications only provide the software to interface with the OBD device purchased by the user. Due to this, their performance is highly affected by the quality of the device used. |
