Abstract:
    A small and compact device that is installed in the vehicle dashboard and uses Image Processing and Deep Learning CNNs to detect signs of fatigue and drowsiness and prevents the driver from sleeping
What is the unmet need in society that your idea will fulfill ?
    Sleepy drivers are one of the main cause of road accidents in Pakistan, with this project we aim to reduce the amount of fatalities caused by drowsiness and keep the driver alert
Who needs it ? How many would benefit ?
   Nearly anybody who owns a 4 wheeled vehicle will benefit from it, people who go on long drives will benefit from it the most.
How will the solution works
    An IR camera will be installed behind the steering wheel that will continuously monitor the driver and feed the footage into a portable mini-computer installed in the dashboard where it will use pre-trained CNN models and image analysis and processing to look for any signs of fatigue and once done it will ring an alarm to notify the driver that he needs to rest.
Who are your competitors ? How is your solution different
    The motorway police introduced an anti-sleep device for drivers that checks for the position of the head, however it is a very inefficient device as by the time a person puts his head down he has already fallen in deep sleep. Our project will detect fatigue and sleepiness before the person sleeps.
