    A piezoelectric energy harvesting system to lessen the power load of streetlights and transfer the small,irregular amount of current produced by vibrations sensed by piezo material to generate energy.
What is the unmet need in society that your idea will fulfill ?
    There is an energy crisis in the country; at least this solution can provide enough energy to power streetlights and reduce the tension on a grid station. Moreover, if applied on a bigger scale like long roads/runways, the transducers have the capacity to produce a large amount of energy.
Who needs it ? How many would benefit ?
   People in nearby areas will have working streetlights. The government would benefit as the vibrations from vehicles will be utilized and converted to electrical energy to meet the power needs of the surrounding streetlights and signals. Transmission to them will no more be a worry for grid-stations.
How will the solution works
    The piezoelectric transducer fitted below the speedbreaker converts vibrations and stress produced by the motion and bulk of vehicles into voltage that can power streetlights, and traffic signals. The arrangement allows vehicles to apply pressure on the road to be transformed from mechanical strain energy into AC power output that is rectified into a DC power source in an efficient process. A DC boost converter doubles the output, and the inverter sends it to frameworks that demand electricity.
Who are your competitors ? How is your solution different
    The basic idea that states energy production from piezoelectric transducers fixed below speed breakers is unique in our country; there are no competitors so far. Our solution expects to employ an everyday phenomenon in a subtle manner to generate electricity and save energy from being dissipated.
