R.O.A.D is a desktop application which will provide a deeper insight to image processing, computer vision and will enabling different aspects of lane detection and improving the results using ML. |
What is the unmet need in society that your idea will fulfill ? |
Humans while driving have a disadvantage of not always being attentive (whether it be changing the radio or of being tired etc.) while a computer, if trained, can always be fully attentive at detecting lanes. |
Who needs it ? How many would benefit ? |
It is mainly needed by anyone who drives. As it would benefit those who are not attentive while driving as it would detect lanes on the road. |
How will the solution works |
The system will acquire videos from the directory’s address entered by user. Check video format. System will divide video in to frames and transmit frames to the trained model. The model will be able to extract feature data for each frame. The model will then assess the features data and based on it, will provide the final visualizations of lane detection in video.

Who are your competitors ? How is your solution different |
Our solution is different as it will be trained or deployed on Pakistani roads, so this will make it unique as a pakistani road's dataset will be prepared especially for this. |
