Abstract:
    It is an automatic and intelligent machine that would pack garments in bags. The objectives include designing of mechanical structure, control mechanism and algorithm.
What is the unmet need in society that your idea will fulfill ?
    Manual labor is still in use in smaller factories to hand pack garments in packages. This obviously takes time. Our idea will hopefully fulfill the need of fully automated machines in smaller industries.
Who needs it ? How many would benefit ?
   Every small and medium scale garment business needs this who can not afford to buy heavy machines for packaging. In Pakistan there are more SMEs than there are Large Industries. So more than half of the garment industry could benefit from this.
How will the solution works
    It will take a piece of garment from one end and would release that similar garment, folded and packed in a bag. It will have a tray carrying the bags. A module will be designed comprising of Rollers that will take the bag out of the container, one at a time, and deliver it to the required position where another module will open the bag with air and let the garment move in. That package will then be sealed and sent out.
Who are your competitors ? How is your solution different
    These types of machines are not currently being used in Pakistan. So we can say that there is void of it in our SMEs. Instead of manual labor, they can use this machine. Our solution is different in a way it is smaller in size and will be cheaper.
