| Pakistan is a country where the forest area is very low and deforestation rate is high, it is imperative to look for a new fuel to control over-exploitation of wood resources. . People who cannot afford wood need a cheaper resource and by meeting their needs, deforestation can be controlled. |
| How will the solution works |
| The shortage of natural gas has become endemic and it has never reached the rural areas of Pakistan, where burning wood is the alternative method. Pakistan produces 1,454,978 Million Cubic Ft (MMcf) of natural gas yet most of the rural areas are still deprived of this facility. Tabcoal can be provided to the local markets of rural areas of Pakistan and it can easily be accessed by the people. |
| Who are your competitors ? How is your solution different |
| There are three sources of wood supply in Pakistan: State forests, private farmlands and imports. Farmlands are estimated to produce 50 percent of the timber and 90 percent of the firewood used in the country and we want to replace firewood with Tabcoal. |
