| Abstract: |
| The idea is to created a Machine Learning application for farmers that will help them determine which crop to plant, using soil conditions, weather, and other factors, that results in highest yield. |
| What is the unmet need in society that your idea will fulfill ? |
| Many farmers only have the knowledge passed on from their predecessors about crops. They do not have the scientific knowledge to select the best crop. Although they can select a good crop, but due to lack of knowledge, they are missing out on better alternatives that will produce even better yields. |
| Who needs it ? How many would benefit ? |
| The main beneficiaries will be farmers. It includes small-scale farmers, large-scale famers, industrial farms etc. All of the famers can benefit from this, throughout Pakistan as well as the government organizations who plan and monitor agriculture in the country. |
| How will the solution works |
| The factors to be kept into account e.g. soil pH, soil type, soil texture, soil nutrient content, temperature, precipitation, economical value of crops, and the location of field will be uploaded to spatial databases. Next, forecast for temperature and precipitation will be done for upcoming season. Then, using ML techniques, user will enter the location only, and data will be retrieved from database automatically and the best crop will be selected based on the factors. |

| There are no such competitors that have developed similar systems so there are no specific competitors. This is why, out solution is different as it is a new innovation, especially in Pakistan. |
