Abstract: |
This project aims to simplify the drone positioning process for photography. Instead of manually positioning, the drone will require a photo and will position itself similar to how it was taken. |
What is the unmet need in society that your idea will fulfill ? |
DJI and other brands of drones need to be manually positioned, and it may or may not re-create a scene which you want. This project guarantees the success of that. |
Who needs it ? How many would benefit ? |
Tour guides and tourists who will want to take aerial photos with certain angles. |
How will the solution works |
The Pixhawk flight controller paired with RoS using OpenPose for pose estimation will use SVM classification to train models, and simulations will be run on AirSim. After the model accuracy is above 90%, this will be implemented practically. |
Who are your competitors ? How is your solution different |
DJI and JJRC are two of the leading brands in camera drones and as of now they don't have an auto-positioning system based on previous photographs. Our solution is entirely unique. |
