    People with paralyzed upper limbs and cerebral palsy do not have a controlled movement. This project focuses on an exoskeleton which will help them move the upper limb using BCI and be self-dependent.
What is the unmet need in society that your idea will fulfill ?
    People with upper limb paralysis or cerebral palsy require assistance in their daily tasks since they have restricted or uncontrolled movement. Our aim is to make their life easier and make them self dependent.
Who needs it ? How many would benefit ?
   People with a paralyzed upper limb or people with cerebral palsy. According to research in the US, 2.5 million of their population has upper limb paralysis, and 1.5-4 out of 1000 children have cerebral palsy.
How will the solution works
    This project focuses on an exoskeleton which will take EEG signals from the brain and will move the exoskeleton using BCI. The mechanical system will consist of three degrees of freedom of wrist, elbow, and shoulder joints. We will create our database using EEG headset. The data will be filtered and then windowed by taking small subsets of the data for processing and analysis, features will be extracted from the data and classification algorithms will be applied for the maximum accuracy.
Who are your competitors ? How is your solution different
    Our competitors are the companies currently working on the development of upper limb wearable robotic arm. But no company is currently retailing this product. our solution is different since we are using lighter and affordable material for the exoskeleton. We have non-invasive BCI control as well.
