Tensegrity robots can withstand high impact loads and by use of ingenious control systems can be converted into a mobility platform. By the use of space-grade materials for the structure, along with the concept of morphological computation through resonance, tensegrity robot will not only be capable withstanding the impact force after being dropped into another plant, but will protect its payload and then travel to the required destination to collect data and samples. |
