| The proposed idea is for a centralized healthcare database that contains vital information that will be used by first responders and doctors to administer treatments for patients/victims. |
| What is the unmet need in society that your idea will fulfill ? |
| Medical professionals are mostly unaware of vital information like blood group, and medical history of the patient in ER. This information is vital as a diabetic patient given glucose can get permanent disabilities. A centralized medical database will mitigate this issue and fulfill SDGs 3,9 and 11. |
| Who needs it ? How many would benefit ? |
| The whole society will reap the benefits of the solution because it will improve diagnosis given by doctors as they will have access to any pre-requisite medical information that is required to make a sound diagnosis and help first responders in administering first aid treatment. |
| How will the solution works |
| The solution is based on Blockchain technology which will ensure the privacy of the data. Data Science Techniques can be employed to gain insights from the data. Patients can be categorized according to their medical condition using ML algorithms. An app can be made to access the database and provide the patient with useful features such as access to their medical prescription at the press of a button. The access to the data can be regulated using biometrics. |
