Smart glasses are a wearable computer that is used for basic phone functions and OCR; providing an augmented reality experience in a real-time display used to combine physical and virtual information.
What is the unmet need in society that your idea will fulfill ?
Using mobile phones makes our hands-tied and multitasking becomes difficult. People are engrossed in phones and miss real lives. Phones are a major distraction and cause accidents. We want to provide a hands-free solution with basic phone functions in front of user’s eyes which enhances productivity
Who needs it ? How many would benefit ?
Glasses can be used for multitasking and to increase productivity. Anyone having a smartphone can benefit from the glasses to get a hands-free phone experience and remove distractions especially students as the OCR feature can make data copying and typing obsolete.
How will the solution works
The solution will connect with a mobile application via Bluetooth and display calls and notifications in the user’s field of vision. It will have a camera which will be used to capture photos, OCR and all the data will be saved on the phone. The camera will also be used for the image processing controls feature.
Who are your competitors ? How is your solution different
There is no work in Pakistan done on smart glasses. Our main international competitor is the google glass. Our solution differs from them in terms of cost and features like Optical character recognition for students and image processing controls.
