    Our idea is to use Microsoft Azure Kinect Sensor with Cloud Support to monitor the gait of the patients. It will be a portable and easy to use system that can be deployed in homes.
What is the unmet need in society that your idea will fulfill ?
    Our main goal is to make the Gait Assessment easy and portable for the patients. Our idea is basically to make a telehealth system so that the patients with mild gait disorder can monitor their gait cycles at home.
Who needs it ? How many would benefit ?
   About 70-80 % of the elderly community suffer from different kinds of gait disorders. With the development of our system, patients with mild symptoms would not have to visit the hospital. A log of their gait analysis report would be uploaded on the cloud where the doctor can access it.
How will the solution works
    The Kinect Sensor will generate a skeleton image of the patient. The data will be sent to the computer, where our developed algorithm will process it and extract all the data related to the joints. This data would then be used to calculate the stride information and foot angles. After all the calculations, a detailed gait report will be generated and uploaded to the cloud. The doctor can then access the report and diagnose the particular disorder.
Who are your competitors ? How is your solution different
    Our competitors are VICON and GaitRite. The mentioned two devices are really expensive and a doctor and technician are needed to operate them, whereas, our system is portable and can be deployed in homes and the patient can easily monitor his/her gait every day.
